Our mission is to lead men into God presence through praise and worship as well as develop a culture where worship and the praise of God become a lifestyle in RCCG Open Heavens, Glasgow. We are conversant with the knowledge that God is in the business of inhabiting the praise and worship of His people continually and as such we create an atmosphere where God can inhabit at RCCG Open Heavens, Glasgow.
What is our secret? Through the revelation knowledge of the word of God in John 4 verse 23 Jesus says:
“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.”
This simply means that God SEEKS only the true worshipers. And where any worship is not in line with God’s pattern, such could tantamount to false worship, or ignorant worship which was the case of the Samaritans.
Brethren, the nature of God is spirit as contained in John 4:24 “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” And since all spirits are imperceptible to human eyes, it is imperative that our worship must be spiritual. Below highlighted the premise for spiritual worship expected of us as God’s children not only for choristers or a selected few.
- To be in the spirit is a form of worship that is from the heart, in other words must be a conscious thought process which is sincere. Our worship must be the one that is free from any form of drifting thoughts. Our gaze must be only focused on the one who is great and greatly to be adored.
- In truth, means one that is in accordance with God’s word, which is the TRUTH.
May our worship to God be continually acceptable and His presence be experienced in all of our ministration in Jesus’ mighty name…….. Amen.
Prayer Team:
We are a team of Intercessors that are resolute in our commitment to seek the face of God through effectual and fervent prayer; we pray only according to the will of God and to receive answers to our prayers all the time.
Our Mission is to be focused and consistent in the place of prayer; keeping our garments free of blemish.
Our functions are:
As watchmen to intercede for the Open Heavens, Glasgow congregation concerning prophetic utterances/declarations, special programmes, weekly and monthly meetings (Ezekiel 3:17; 33:7).
To lift the arms of our Pastor and other leaders in the church in their service to the Lord. Moreover, praying for their families, their walk with God, their ministries and other areas of their lives. We also carry out specific assignments as directed by the Pastor (Exodus 17:10-12).
To take personal prayer requests from members of the Fountain of Love family very seriously (1Timothy 2:1).
This team meets every Sunday morning 9.00am-9.30am. They tarry before the Almighty God lifting up the church before Him not only on Sundays but daily.
